Eco Stone Commemorative Cubes for Great British Menu
These custom Eco Stone cubes were produced for the Great British Menu as a tribute to Marconi’s first wireless broadcast in 1901 — a moment of historic communication sent from Flat Holm Island to Lavernock Point with the words: “Are you ready?”
Each minimalist cube is made from smooth, white Eco Stone, offering a clean, weighty feel with sharp engraved details. One face features a stylised radio transmission tower with signal bolts, while another presents the location and message that marked the start of modern wireless communication.
Commissioned for BBC’s Great British Menu, these commemorative trophies connected food, place, and pioneering innovation — honouring the legacy of invention through sustainable, story-led design.
